Hydroponic Farming

Hydroponic farming or hydroponics: the process of NOT growing plants in soil.

I saw an actual hydroponics at the Eden Nature Park and if my memory serves me right, somewhere in between the crocodile park and the butterfly garden here in Davao. Hydroponic plants reportedly use 90% less water than traditionally grown plants. The process is also used to enhance the nutritional value of vegetables such as lettuce and spinach.

I'm contemplating on establishing a hydrophonic farm in the Philippines. Right now, I'm in the process of evaluating it. Can I possibly know some of the potentials and limitations of hydro phonic farming? Is there a study comparing yields per year per land use between traditional and hydro phonic farming? Or, compare production cost between traditional and hydro phonic farming?

Fidel,

I am sorry but I do not have much technical information about hydroponics growing. You can check out other sites that talk about this process to learn more about hydroponic plants.

Fidel,

I am also thinking of putting up a hydroponic farm. The technology is new to me but it's been around since the time of the Babylonians. Most of your questions I found answers thru google search. But this one i want to share with you. The location should be typhoon free or else you have to do it indoor and invest on artificial lightings and that would make it more costly. Buy 2 hectares of land somewhere in Davao or Central Mindanao...very ideal spots to grow almost everything.

Good day,
This is Reynaldo Mar C. Sta Ana , from Pasig City. I'm impressed with the processed that I saw on a TV program under CCI network regarding this "hydroponics" the way the plants was produced. Do you have any programs, seminars to attend to know more about this hydroponics. I'm interested and to have an extra income for this process. It will help also some of my friends to have additional income, and to develop the skills in this type of farming. I hope you can give some information for this issue, or if I can visit one of your training session . Looking forward to get a updates and information from you guys. Thank you in advance.

Wonderful blog! Do you have any hints for aspiring writers?
I'm hoping to start my own site soon but I'm a little lost on everything.
Would you advise starting with a free platform like Wordpress or
go for a paid option? There are so many choices out there that I'm totally overwhelmed .. Any recommendations? Thank you!
