FFL Licence Requirements
All individuals who want to get FFL licence are required to be of legal age. You need to be at least 21 years old before you can qualify for an FFL licence application. You should know, however, that being of legal age, does not constitute automatic rights to being granted an FFL.
There are also other criteria for qualification that have to be looked into. The government, for example, wants to ensure that only responsible individuals that can be trusted are given an FFL. As such, FFL is granted to individuals who are not prohibited from handling or possessing firearms or ammunition; did not commit violation of the the Gun Control Act or its regulations, and who have premises for conducting business.
ATF Visits
Make sure that you are honest with the information you provide concerning your FFL application. As such, provide truthful answers when the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco,Firearms and Explosives (ATF) conducts a visit and interview with you. Individuals who do not have criminal records and who are considered as good standing members of their community increase their chances of getting approved to get an FFL.
